Big changes at Blue Apple!

Following a challenging period for our business and industry, Blue Apple has enjoyed a successful end to the year, having secured a number of exciting new contracts with high-profile clients and being named Contract Caterer of the Year at the Cateys. It’s been a positive way to end the year and we are now pleased to announce some big, exciting changes for our proudly independent business as we prepare for 2022 and beyond!

Firstly, we are looking forward to moving in to our new head office on Monday 29th November as we vacate our Matthews Green Farm premises. Our new office is a significant improvement for the company which will see all departments housed in one building; a beautiful converted barn in the countryside between Reading and Wokingham. The office benefits from high vaulted ceilings, new larger desks, communal breakout and co-working space and an external courtyard garden with picnic area. It is also more easily accessible from the M4 and the Reading to Waterloo train line. We have been careful to remain eco-conscious with this move and our new premises are on a smaller footprint, reducing heating and cooling requirements and furthermore, we are pleased to be using an energy provider which uses 100% renewable fuel sources. Our new address is as follows:

Blue Apple Contract Catering, Units A&B, Hatch Farm, Mill Lane, Sindlesham, Reading, Berkshire RG41 5DF

As we prepare to make our move, we are delighted to announce a change to the structure of our business as our shareholder team is expanded. Founded by friends and colleagues Brian Allanson and Ruston Toms, Blue Apple has remained under their stewardship during continued, sustainable growth. Brian and Ruston have been supported by the amazing team of Robert Millar (Operations Director), Sarah Prentice (Sales and Marketing Director) and Trevor Jones (Financial Director) for some time and we are now pleased to be able to confirm the three directors will join Brian and Ruston as shareholders in the business. We are really proud of our dynamic, lean and passionate senior management team and we look forward to continued success and growth following this change.

Our positive approach for the future of the business will of course be food lead, and with this in mind we are happy to have appointed the vastly experienced Chris Ribaudo as our brand-new Chef Director. Chris is already familiar with our business having working alongside our teams in a consultancy basis and we look forward to the leadership and innovation he can bring to Blue Apple, following over twenty years as a Chef Director within the busy London contract catering industry. A street-food aficionado, Chris’s exciting menus and positive approach to development herald an even more exciting time for Blue Apple!
