Hello, I am Milly and I have just started my new role as Creative Bid Writer with Blue Apple! This will be my first job since graduating Falmouth University, where I studied Press and Editorial Photography in the beautiful Cornish countryside.
My course was really exciting and versatile, not only did I learn my way around a camera but I thoroughly enjoyed getting my hands into editorial writing and design too. I took part in many exciting projects throughout my time at university; in fact one that stood out to me most was a project called “The 12 Part Portfolio”. This tasked me with photographing subjects within 12 different categories, and it's where I tried food styling and photography for the first time. So, naturally, I cooked up my favourite meal (Thai green curry!) and did my best to photograph it with a variety of backdrops and set ups.

I have always had an interest in the world of food and I love cooking for my friends, so I think with a mix between that passion and the enjoyment I experienced in that previous project at university it was inevitable that I'd find myself in a position within the hospitality field!
While at university, I also worked part time in my local gastro pub which was a great insight into how the industry worked, but I am very excited to learn further and more specifically about the world of catering! It has been a great eye-opener to visit the Blue Apple Catering sites with founding director, Ruston, and it has really helped me visualise and understand how the business works.
I am very excited to find my feet within the business and see where I end up!
